Who We Are
Nine Winters is a small Korean-American bakery rooted in the belief that good food can nourish more than just the body. We aim to foster a space of curiosity, belonging, and connection. From nostalgic Korean flavors and ingredients to playful new twists, every taste invites you to slow down, discover, enjoy, and share in something delightful.
Marissa Ferola
Founder, Baker
Marissa, a Korean adoptee raised in Massachusetts, began exploring her Korean roots as an adult. As a new mother, she created Nine Winters with her children as a way to reconnect and reclaim her heritage through food — bringing Korean-inspired bakes into the everyday life she’s built growing up in beautiful, bountiful New England and building new family traditions.
Janine & Winter
Cofounders, Children
Janine and Winter, Marissa’s two inquisitive daughters, share their mom’s love for trying new foods and the joy of sharing a table. Growing up in the United States, they celebrate their Korean heritage through a love of traditional and modern takes on Korean food—a treasured part of their family’s everyday life and celebrations.
